Google Adwords is an advertising service created by Google, where the ads displayed are only relevant to the content. The benefit of using Google Adwords is that your product can appear on Google’s pages without needing to worry about SEO. The payment system offered is divided into two types: Pay Per Click (PPC) and Pay Per Million (PPM). Pay Per Click (PPC) means that if an advertiser’s ad is clicked, the advertiser must pay for it, and vice versa. Meanwhile, Pay Per Million (PPM) is a payment system based on the number of times the ad is displayed, typically shown per 1,000 impressions.

Google Adsense is a service that offers ads to website or blog owners, where the website or blog will display ads relevant to the keywords or content on the site. Website/blog owners who have registered and been approved for membership are allowed to place ad units whose design and content have been determined by Google. Website/blog owners will receive earnings from Google for every ad clicked by visitors. This is known as the Pay Per Click (PPC) system. In addition to the PPC system, Google Adsense also provides Adsense for Search and Referral ads. With Adsense for Search, website owners can place a Google search box on their web pages. They will earn money from Google for each search performed by visitors through the search box, followed by a click on an ad. In Referral ads, website owners earn revenue when a click on an ad leads to an action by the visitor, as agreed between Google and the advertiser.
